Command Palette

The command palette is a keyboard-driven search box that lets you jump anywhere in Allegro, run quick actions, switch between sites, and find records across your organization — without reaching for the mouse or paging through lists.

Opening the palette

Press ⌘K on macOS or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux from anywhere in the dashboard. Press the shortcut again (or Esc) to close it.

Start typing in the Search or jump to… box and the list filters as you type. Use the arrow keys to move through the results and Enter to open the highlighted one. If nothing matches, the palette shows No results for "{your text}".

What you can do

Results are grouped so the most direct matches rise to the top. Depending on what you type, you'll see some or all of these groups:

GroupWhat it contains
AudienceAudience members matched by your search (see Searching records).
InteractionsInteractions matched by your search.
TemplatesTemplates matched by your search.
FormsForms matched by your search.
ActionsQuick actions you can run from wherever you are.
Go toEvery page in the sidebar and in Settings, so you can navigate straight to it.
SwitchThe other sites you can access — pick one to switch your current site without leaving the page.

Only results you have permission to open are shown, so the palette never links you to a page or record you can't view.

Searching records

The palette searches your organization's audience members, interactions, templates, and forms live as you type. How it matches depends on what you enter:

What you typeWhat it finds
Two or more lettersInteractions, templates, and forms whose title or slug contains your text.
Text containing @Audience members whose email starts with what you typed (for example [email protected]).
A full record ID (UUID)The exact audience member, interaction, template, or form with that ID.

Each match shows the record's name — and, for audience members, their email as a subtitle — so you can tell similarly named records apart. Selecting a match opens that record.

note

Email search matches from the start of the address, so type the beginning of the address (jane@…) rather than a word from the middle of it. For a broader member search by name or partial email, use the search bar on the Audience page.
